Plants, beings fundamental to life on Earth, have been the subject of botany study since ancient times. The objective is to describe emerging trends in botany learning through a systematic review. With a qualitative approach, searches were carried out in various databases such as Dialnet, Scielo, EBSCO and Scopus, using the PICO strategy and following the PRISMA protocol. Original articles published in the last 5 years from 2019 were included, oncl such as abstracts, books, review articles and letters to the editor that were not related to the research question were excluded. Of a total of 23 publications evaluated, 15 were discarded, leaving 8 publications for review. 37.5% of these publications were made in 2022. Emerging trends in botany learning were observed mainly in European countries. In South America, Chile stands out as the only country that emphasizes this topic. Among the technological applications found, the use of the Kahoot platform was mentioned, and as for innovative teaching methodologies, Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and the Flipped Classroom were highlighted. In onclusión, emerging trends in botany learning are influenced by the use of educational technologies and innovative methodological strategies. These trends are more prominent in European countries, and Chile is the only country in South America that emphasizes this topic.
