BALLEN GUERRERO, Carlos Emilio; ONA LOOR, Jonathan Daniel  e  ROBALINO BRIONES, César Aníbal. Prevalence of mycotoxins in commercial feed for broiler chickens. Rev. Inv. Cs. Agro. y Vet. [online]. 2025, vol.9, n.25, pp.191-207.  Epub 27-Jan-2025. ISSN 2664-0902.  https://doi.org/10.33996/revistaalfa.v9i25.341.

The observed effects of mycotoxicosis in chickens depend on the type of mycotoxin present in the feed. Therefore, it would be important to know what are the main mycotoxins present in commercial concentrates for broiler chickens? What implications would the presence of these compounds in concentrates have for productive and health indicators? Scientific articles were used as sources, from which 45 were selected from databases such as PubMed, ScienceDirect and Google Scholar. The search equation was prevalence + mycotoxin + commercial concentrate + chicken fattening + effects on production and health. 21 scientific articles were selected, 95% in English and 5% in Spanish, 52.38% and 42.86% of the journals were indexed in SCOPUS and WEB SCIENCE. Among the main mycotoxins found in feed for broiler chickens we have Aflatoxins, Fumonisins and Trichothecenes (T-2 and DON), which cause severe damage to the liver of birds, causing tissue damage
