TUCTO ORTEGA, Flor Yenny et al. Biocide macerate of tobacco nicotine tabacum, control of flea epitrix spp. in potato crop. Rev. Inv. Cs. Agro. y Vet. [online]. 2025, vol.9, n.25, pp.50-58. Epub 27-Jan-2025. ISSN 2664-0902. https://doi.org/10.33996/revistaalfa.v9i25.331.
The objective of the research work was to evaluate the effect of tobacco macerate on the control of the potato flea, the sample was the number of existing fleas in the net experimental area (3.2 m2). A completely randomized block experimental design (CSBD) was used with 3 replications, 4 treatments with 12 experimental units. The observations made were: number of flea, percentage of damage, degree of damage and weight of tubers in kilograms per experimental net area, which was later transformed to hectare. The results indicate the lowest number of populations of Epitrix spp. were obtained with the T1 treatment with a dose of 4 liters of tobacco macerate per 20 liters of water, at 15, 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90 days, with significant statistical differences with the control with averages of 1.63 to 4.17. The control had an average of 5.75 to 14.31 fleas per plant; the average damage to leaflets was 4.16 to 18.74% and the control 10.42 to 59.37%. The yield per hectare was 32,781.25 kg/ha, conclusions The highest average tuber weight and estimated yield per hectare were 32,781.25 kg/ha obtained with treatment T1 with the dose of 4 liters of tobacco macerate per 20 liters of water.
