The modification of the climate is expressed through the increase in quantity and intensity of phenomena such as droughts, rains and hurricanes. These climate modifications have important consequences for society, mainly for the most vulnerable populations, characterized by poverty and exclusion from decision-making spaces. The objective of the research is to analyze massive agro-meteorological data applying appropriate information processing methodologies to improve activities in the production of transitional crops on the Ecuadorian coast. The methodology used with an inductive approach that was mainly nourished by sources from recognized academic platforms such as Science Direct and Springer, Scielo, Scopus and Redalyc with the use of the Google Scholar tool, for which studies published between 2016 and 2022 were selected as a time frame of reference. The selection of literature was governed by a criterion of relevance, prioritizing those studies that provided a deeper understanding of the interrelationship between agro-meteorological data and productive performance of transitional crops in the coastal zone of Ecuador. According to studies, it is known that the rural population in Ecuador consists of 50% in terms of agronomic activity, where a higher percentage can be observed in the Province of Los Ríos. The companies Facundo, Semvra Veconsa, Arrocera Portilla (PortiArroz), Arrocera SylviaMaria (AgroSylma) and ProArroz use agro-meteorology to plan production, with 14 weather stations that provide updated information so that the strategic planning of sowing and harvesting is carried out correctly. It is concluded that it shows how the use of agro-meteorology benefits in the planning of different agricultural activities, what they do for the characterization in time and space of the relationships between the climate, to improve crop performance transients.
