Resumen

SANCHEZ JARA, Raul et al. Productivity of Orange (Citrus sinensis L.) cultivation with foliar application of biostimulant. Rev. Inv. Cs. Agro. y Vet. [online]. 2024, vol.8, n.23, pp.383-392.  Epub 02-Mayo-2024. ISSN 2664-0902.  https://doi.org/10.33996/revistaalfa.v8i23.271.

The use of biostimulants in the cultivation of oranges Citrus sinensis L. is of singular importance in improving the yield and quality of the fruits. In this sense, the objective of the research was to evaluate the productivity of orange cultivation (Citrus sinensis) with and without the application of a foliar biostimulant. The present research was carried out at Don Santiago farm, located in the town of Romero Potrero, in the District and Department of Concepción, in Paraguay, during the period from July 2022 to May 2023. An experimental design of randomized complete blocks was used, arranged in a factorial scheme (2x2). The individual fruit weight, polar fruit diameter, equatorial fruit diameter, Brix degree, and fruit yield were measured. The values obtained were subjected to analysis of variance using the F Test, and the means of each treatment were compared using Tukey's Test at 5%. It is concluded that the application of biostimulant in the cultivation of the Washington Navel variety yielded better values in the determinations of individual fruit weight, polar and equatorial diameter, and fruit yield. For the Brix degree, a better combination was demonstrated with the application of biostimulant in the Valencia variety (7.56%).

Palabras clave : Biostimulant; Citrus sinensis L; Brix degree; Valencia Variety; Washington Navel Variety.
