Anthropic impacts are defined as alterations or modifications in the natural environment caused by human activity. The objective was to determine the population's perception of anthropic impacts in the Huayllay National Sanctuary. The research was classified as exploratory, descriptive, and cross-sectional. Surveys were used as the technique, and a questionnaire was designed and validated as the instrument. 364 inhabitants were surveyed. 71.4% of the residents of Huayllay considered the Rock Forest to be the most important due to its geological formations; additionally, 97.3% indicated a predominant interest in tourism. The anthropic impact was assessed as minimally affected in pollution at 46.2%, hunting and fishing at 48.1%, and overgrazing at 48.9%. Furthermore, habitat destruction, extraction of native plants, and deterioration of archaeological remains were categorized as affected with values of 43.7%, 45.3%, and 48.6% respectively. In conclusion, this research determined the population's perception of anthropic impacts in the Huayllay National Sanctuary.
