CONDOY, Mercy Del Cisne Cuenca; RODAS, Wilson Olmedo Quinteros; FLORES, Franklin Ramón  y  MURILLO, Nathalie Del Consuelo Campos. Impact of hydroponic forage and efficient microorganisms on guinea pigs: productive, hematological nutritional biochemical parameters. Rev. Inv. Cs. Agro. y Vet. In Ecuador, guinea pig meat (Cavia porcellus) is a food of high nutritional value that contributes to food security and sovereignty. Per capita consumption in the rural sector is 16.90 kg/year and 8.52 kg/year in the urban sector. Objective. To evaluate the productive, hematological and biochemical nutritional parameters in Cavia porcellus, supplemented with hydroponic green fodder and efficient microorganisms. Materials and Methods. A total of 42 improved guinea pigs, 21 days old, weighing approximately 350 ± 50 g, were used in two treatments, T0 (Alfalfa + concentrate) and T1 (hydroponic forage of forage oats enriched with microorganisms + concentrate), with three replicates (7 experimental units for each replicate). The variables studied were: productive parameters (feed intake, weight gain, feed conversion, and mortality percentage), yield and dry matter (DM) content of the hydroponic green forage (HVF), feed and DM digestibility, hematological parameters and biochemical parameters. Results. They demonstrated a forage mass yield of oat FVH enriched with functional microorganisms of 4 kg per tray, with a height of 14-16 cm in a harvest time of 16 days, a DM content of 16.65% and a digestibility 82.62%. The oat FVH supplementation in the guinea pig feed ration showed a significant difference (p<0.05) on weight gain and feed conversion during the first rearing phase, reaching a weight gain of 84.43 g and a feed conversion of 3.65; regarding the hematological parameters of the guinea pigs, the values were found within the reference ranges. Conclusions. The FVH of forage oats enriched with functional microorganisms has a positive impact on the productive and hematological parameters of guinea pigs.
