Ecuador in 2019 the cocoa agri-food chain and its products generated foreign exchange by export in USD 763.880.386, a projection was made with the simple linear regression methodology and the figure for 2020 estimated is USD 760,503,000, that is will decrease slightly. For 2019, USD 215.487.000 was exported to the European Union market. It is projected that by 2020, USD 209.842.000 will be exported, causing a significant drop of USD 5.645.000 due to different causes, including COVID-19 and another possible cause. The drop in prices during the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020. In the comparison of the averages of the two periods before the Multiparty Trade Agreement and after the MCA, it was evident that there is a decrease of 0.39%, which is not statistically significant but there is no increase that would be expected following the signing of the agreement. To end in 2019, the European Union imported cocoa and its processed products from the world for USD 27.375.151.000 and Ecuador sold it USD 215.730.000, that is, Ecuador has a share of 0.788%. This is explained by the former colonies that supply the European Union with being closer to its market.
