Educational innovation is key to addressing the challenges facing schools today. The purpose of this study was to analyze the main characteristics, approaches, and findings of recent research on educational innovation in order to identify trends and contributions relevant to pedagogical transformation. A systematic review was conducted under the PRISMA guidelines, consulting databases such as Scopus, SciELO, and Dialnet. Based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, 12 articles published between 2018 and 2022 were selected. The analysis identified common definitions, dimensions, and conclusions.
