The COVID-19 pandemic was an unprecedented public health situation recognized by international organizations and forced the population to confinement for more than two years, which caused psychological problems such as stress and anxiety, with adolescents being one of the most vulnerable populations due to the confinement and virtual education for which they were not prepared; which, in many cases, had an unfavorable impact on their academic performance. Understanding that in order to improve the effects of this situation it is necessary to be aware of it, the present study had the purpose of systematizing the research that addresses academic stress in virtual education in Latin American adolescents during the Covid-19 pandemic. For this purpose, we worked with documentary research methodology and the PRISMA statement. It was concluded that the stressors resulting from confinement had a negative impact on the academic performance of adolescents.
