Social skills facilitate social interaction, strengths, and abilities that individuals possess. The objective was to analyze social skills in students and teacher support in their development. A systematic review was conducted using the PRISMA methodology, identifying research from 2019 to 2023, in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, published in databases such as Scielo, Scopus, Latindex, and Reladyc. The inclusion criteria were: a) studies that measure social skills, b) studies that measure comprehensive development, and c) studies that use valid and reliable research methods, excluding documents not belonging to the databases, different topics, and duplicates, with 15 studies included in the review. It was concluded that the development of social skills has a direct effect on intrinsic learning and on the environment, establishing self-esteem, independence, empathy, and successful conflict resolution.
