HONORES MARRUFO, Julia María  y  JUAREZ ORDONEZ, Miguel Ángel. Social skills development in the pedagogical practice of secondary school teachers: a systematic review. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2025, vol.9, n.38, pp.2024-2034.  Epub 01-Abr-2025. ISSN 2616-7964.  https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v9i38.1033.

Social skills constitute an essential component in the formation of human beings, given their relational nature and their impact on personal and academic development. These skills begin to be consolidated in the family environment and are strengthened in educational spaces, especially during secondary education. The objective of this article was to describe the importance of the development of social skills (DHS) in the pedagogical practice of secondary school teachers. For this purpose, a systematic review methodology was used, searching for information in scientific databases such as Scopus, SciELO, Web of Science and Latindex. The selection of studies was carried out following the PRISMA technique, which made it possible to identify and review a total of twenty-five relevant articles. The results showed that DHS is key to strengthening school coexistence, facilitating conflict management, fostering empathy and improving academic performance. In conclusion, the development of social skills in pedagogical practice constitutes a determining factor in the integral formation of the student, by promoting positive interpersonal relationships and a favorable educational environment for learning.
