COBENA CEDENO, Angélica A.; ROSADO GARCIA, Tania L. e DE LA CRUZ LOZADO, Juan. Ethical values in Latin American middle school education: a review of the literature. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2025, vol.9, n.38, pp.1909-1918. Epub 01-Abr-2025. ISSN 2616-7964. https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v9i38.1025.
Ethical education in high school students is key to their social and moral development. This study aimed to identify relevant evidence on the teaching of ethical values at this educational level in Latin America, between 2021 and 2023. A systematic review of 10 scientific articles selected according to inclusion criteria was carried out, using a qualitative approach. The results reveal two main lines: the importance of teacher training in values and the use of active methodologies such as intercultural education and the support of artificial intelligence. Most of the studies come from Ecuador and Spain. It is concluded that ethics education should be integrated transversally in the school curriculum and in teacher training, favoring the development of students committed to principles such as respect, tolerance and responsibility.
