ZEGARRA HIDALGO, David Adán. Linguistic strategies in the development of oral communicative competence in Peruvian university students. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2025, vol.9, n.38, pp.1656-1673. Epub 01-Abr-2025. ISSN 2616-7964. https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v9i38.1007.
Linguistic strategies are methodologies that favor language development and experimentation. The aim of this study was to analyze the influence of these strategies on the development of oral communicative competence in undergraduate university students. A mixed approach was used, with a quasi-experimental design and an applied type of research. The sample consisted of 70 students selected by non-probabilistic sampling. The results indicated a significant improvement in oral communicative competence before and after the implementation of the strategies (Mann-Whitney U = 0.000, p 0.05), with a mean of 18.97 before and 30.80 after the intervention. It was concluded that the implementation of these strategies has a positive impact on the development of students' oral communicative skills in higher education.
