Digital tools are essential in solving mathematical problems from an early age, fostering critical skills and logical thinking in students. The purpose of this article was to describe the state of research related to the use and impact of digital tools in solving mathematical problems in basic education. The methodology used was a qualitative systematic review in the ScienceDirect, ProQuest and EBSCOhost databases, between 2021 and 2023. To structure the process, the updated PRISMA guide was used, considering 10 studies that met the inclusion criteria. It is concluded that the research findings show significant progress in mathematics teaching methodologies and strategies, highlighting gamification, digital tools and platforms such as GeoGebra and Khan Academy in problem solving. These tools encourage collaborative learning, motivate students and develop logical thinking, adapting to diverse needs and promoting inclusive and effective education.
