Currently, the responsibility of an educational leader is to innovate participatory management models that require competencies in accordance with institutional challenges. Therefore, the study was carried out with the objective of analyzing how leadership directly affects the progress of education. regular basic education in Latin America, during the years 2017 to 2023. It was carried out under the bibliographic review methodology through systematic reviews, in a descriptive manner, by searching in various databases, such as Scopus, Web of Science, EBSCO, Proquest, Scielo, Science Direct, Dialnet, Latindex and Redalyc. The search was carried out using the keywords “leadership and inclusion” in studies carried out in Latin America from 2020 to 2023. Articles that are not related to leadership and inclusion in basic education were also considered as exclusion criteria. 199 scientific articles were collected, 23 articles were selected that met the criteria established in this study. It is evident that when educational leaders promote innovative pedagogical strategies and promote the active participation of the entire community in an inclusive education, an environment conducive to learning and the comprehensive development of students can be created.
