DELGADO SOTO, Jorge Antonio; HEREDIA APONTE, Norma e SANCHEZ CULQUI, Eladio. Experimental chemistry tasks, to improve thinking skills in civil engineering students. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2025, vol.9, n.37, pp.1123-1137. Epub 24-Fev-2025. ISSN 2616-7964. https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v9i37.973.
The objective of the research was to improve critical, reflective and flexible thinking skills in students of the Academic Professional School of Civil Engineering of the Jaen branch of the National University of Cajamarca-Peru by applying experimental tasks, referring to the corrosion of steel exposed to different aqueous media. The dependent and independent variables were thinking skills and experimental tasks respectively. The method was hypothetical deductive, the methodology was experimental, the design was pre-experimental, the technique was observation, the instrument was the thinking skills scale, the dimensions of the independent variable were knowledge of steel, corrosion of steel and aggressiveness of water against steel. The results of the pre-test and post-test were 62.63% and 84.09% respectively, concluding that the experimental tasks improve the thinking skills of the Civil Engineering students.
