Currently, trigonometric learning needs procedures that provide its understanding and improvement. Formative assessment with the use of GeoGebra Software is a step forward. The objective of the research was to identify the effect of formative assessment on trigonometric learning achievements through the use of GeoGebra in students of the "San Marcelino Champagnat" School in Peru. Type of applied research, level of causal research, quantitative research approach, experimental design, quasi-experimental modality, 52 students participated. Technique, survey; instrument, pedagogical test that contains the dimensions: Solves problems of regularity, equivalence and change; Solves problems of shape, movement, and location; Solves quantity problems; and, Solves data management problems and uncertainty. It was concluded that the practice of formative assessment and the use of Geogebra Software improve learning achievements.
