GARAY UGAZ, Eduardo Martin; LEON LIZAMA, Roosvelt David e SOTO MANRIQUE, Jesús Alberto. Digital competencies in university teaching: a narrative review of their impact on pedagogical practice. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2025, vol.9, n.36, pp.444-457. Epub 21-Jan-2025. ISSN 2616-7964. https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v9i36.930.
Digital competencies have transformed pedagogical practice in higher education, generating new dynamics in teaching and learning. This narrative review study aimed to analyze how digital competencies influence the pedagogical practice of university teachers. For this purpose, 16 studies of quantitative, qualitative and theoretical approach were selected through a search in academic databases. The results show that the mastery of these competencies improves didactic planning, facilitates the integration of technologies in the classroom and enhances interaction with students. However, gaps persist in training and access to digital resources, which limits their effective implementation. It is concluded that the strengthening of teacher training and the design of institutional strategies are key to optimize the use of technologies in higher education.
