Digital competencies have educational purposes that contribute to teachers' professional development. The need to optimize academic results has generated the implementation of digital competencies in the teaching and learning process in higher education. The search was carried out using the PRISMA method, and the inclusion criteria considered complete studies with free access, research between the years 2021 and 2022. Regarding the exclusion criteria, systematic review articles, incomplete studies, research from other years and those published in English were selected; 13 articles were selected and analyzed accordingly.
