Environmental deterioration constitutes a global problem, where education plays an essential role in the formation of citizens committed to sustainability. This study analyzes the influence of creative teaching on the environmental awareness of high school students in a private institution in Cañete, Peru. With a quantitative approach and correlational design, we worked with a sample of 63 students, using the General Ecological Behavior Scale (GEB-50) and the Torrance Test of Creative Thinking (TTCT). The results showed that creative teaching has a positive influence on environmental awareness, with statistical significance in all the dimensions evaluated. In conclusion, creative teaching is fundamental to promote meaningful environmental awareness and encourage sustainable behaviors in students.
