This research explores the perception of scientific inquiry as a strategy to improve academic performance in students of the Science and Technology program of the Escuela de Educación Superior Pedagógica “Monseñor Francisco Gonzales Burga”-Lambayeque. The objective was to analyze how students perceive the relationship between scientific inquiry and their academic performance. With a qualitative approach and phenomenological design, two categories were studied: scientific inquiry and academic performance. The interview was used as a technique, and the interview guide, validated by a specialist in science and technology, was used as the main instrument. After its application, the information was analyzed by means of a matrix and the Open Coding technique. The findings reveal that students recognize the importance of scientific inquiry in the classroom and its positive impact on academic performance. Student participation was significant, highlighting their general knowledge of this strategy.
