OJEDA RETO, Marcos Germain. Virtual infidelity, violence, resilience and academic performance in college students. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2025, vol.9, n.36, pp.261-274. Epub 21-Jan-2025. ISSN 2616-7964. https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v9i36.916.
Exploring the intersection between virtual infidelity, violence, resilience, and academic performance, this article analyzes the complexities faced by college students in their daily lives. To this end, an instrumental and correlational study was conducted. Participation in the study involved a sample of 101 university students. The Dating Violence Questionnaire (CUVINO), the Network Infidelity Perception Scale Questionnaire and the Social Network Infidelity Perception Scale were used as instruments. The results show that the M3 model is able to explain 94.13% of the variability of the data, and therefore, establish that the set of the three independent variables (intimate partner violence, infidelity in social networks and resilience) have a statistically significant relationship with academic performance. The study highlights the importance of addressing violence, infidelity and resilience, given their notable influence on academic activities.
