HUAMAN MARISCAL, Julia. Work motivation and Psychological Well-being in teachers in Peru. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2025, vol.9, n.36, pp.167-176. Epub 21-Jan-2025. ISSN 2616-7964. https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v9i36.908.
Psychological well-being and work motivation of teachers in higher education are factors that affect the quality of teaching at the university level to improve the quality of teaching. The objective of the study was to relate both variables through a correlational research. The sample consisted of 144 teachers. To collect information on the psychological well-being variable, the 39-item version of the Ryff Scale (known as SPWB39) was used, distributed in six dimensions: self-acceptance, positive relationships, autonomy, mastery of the environment, purpose in life, and personal growth. For the work motivation variable, the McClelland Scale was used: 30-item version, distributed in three dimensions: affiliation, achievement and power. A positive correlation (r=0.9484) and significant (p<0.05) between work motivation (X) and Psychological Well-Being (Y) was evidenced. Therefore, work motivation can contribute to the psychological well-being of people in their work environment.
