The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between anxiety, self-esteem and study habits and academic performance of university students. The research was quantitative, descriptive and causal correlational, with a sample of 130 students from a university in Lima. The results revealed that anxiety was presented at a low level in 36.9% of the participants, at a medium level in 45.4% and at a high level in 17.7%. As for self-esteem, a low level was observed in 28.5 %, a medium level in 52.3 % and a high level in 19.2 %. On the other hand, study habits were classified as low level in 19.2 %, medium level in 53.8 % and high level in 26.9 %. It was concluded that anxiety, self-esteem and study habits were significantly related to academic performance. In addition, study habits showed a higher correlation with academic performance (p = 0.000), followed by self-esteem (p = 0.009) and anxiety (p = 0.004).
