LIPA TUDELA, Luzbeth et al. Socioeconomic level and study habits in Peruvian Altiplano university students. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2025, vol.9, n.36, pp.48-57. Epub 21-Jan-2025. ISSN 2616-7964. https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v9i36.899.
A study was carried out with the objective of determining the relationship between socioeconomic level and study habits. The method used was a quantitative correlational approach. The population consisted of 60 students of the Faculty of Education and the sample consisted of 48 subjects. For data collection, the survey was used as a technique and two questionnaires were used as instruments: The Graffar Socioeconomic Questionnaire and the CASM-85 Study Habits Inventory. The results show that, at the socioeconomic level, 54% present a lower level, 40% have a lower superior level and 6% have a marginal level; as for study habits, 52% obtain a negative tendency, 35% present a negative study, 6% conceptualize study as a positive tendency, 4% represent a positive study and, finally, 2% of students see study as something very positive. In conclusion, the socioeconomic dynamics do not prove to be a determining factor for study habits in higher education.
