RAMOS BECERRA, Luis Martin. Application of educational software as a tool for mathematics learning in elementary school students: Systematic review. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2024, vol.8, n.35, pp.2508-2518. Epub 21-Out-2024. ISSN 2616-7964. https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v8i35.884.
This article examines the impact of educational software on mathematics learning in elementary school students, highlighting their ability to improve academic performance, motivation and educational equity. The objective is to evaluate how these tools contribute to the development of mathematical skills and reduce learning gaps in different contexts. A systematic literature review was conducted using academic databases such as Scopus, Web of Science and Google Scholar, applying inclusion criteria such as studies published between 2016 and 2024, with a focus on mathematics in primary education and empirical evaluation of educational software. Theoretical research, not related to mathematics, or at different educational levels were excluded. The search equation included terms such as “educational software” AND “mathematics learning” AND “primary education”. The results confirm that these tools enhance adaptive learning, although their implementation requires overcoming technological and pedagogical challenges. It is concluded that educational software are valuable complements to traditional teaching, as long as they are integrated into inclusive and accessible strategies.
