School success is the result of students' academic dedication, in conjunction with good teacher performance and parental support. The permanent accompaniment and support of the latter has an impact on the quality of learning. With this in mind, the objective was to analyze the impact of parental support on the learning of reading comprehension. The systematic review of academic publications from Latin America and Europe, hosted in Scopus, Web of Science, Scielo, Ebsco, Latindex, Redalyc and other databases included a final sample of 22 articles analyzed with a qualitative approach, documentary design and explanatory scope. It was concluded that the support and accompaniment of parents in reading activities at home favors reading comprehension, stimulates interest in reading, develops critical thinking and broadens the cultural background of students.
