In the educational context, the managerial leader has an important role as part of the educational structure, since he/she has the ability to lead, implement, support, motivate and transform organizational processes and strategies. Thus, the objective was based on an analysis of managerial leadership in educational institutions through systematic review research, where the search sources were Scopus, Redalyc, Dialnet, Scielo and Journal Academic. The selection process had an initial 139 articles, simplified with the inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in 49 articles. As part of the conclusions, educational management is not only determined solely by the results of the work of each teacher in the classroom, but also because the managerial leader supports and does not limit the educational administration.
