HARO CORTEZ, Jackeline e NIETO RIVAS, Elier. Emotional distress of children and adolescents in post-pandemic educational contexts: Systematic review. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2024, vol.8, n.34, pp.1770-1780. Epub 25-Jul-2024. ISSN 2616-7964. https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v8i34.832.
The COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted the emotional health of children and adolescents, increasing levels of stress, anxiety, and sleep disturbances, which disrupted their social, emotional, and educational development. This study reviews and analyzes the scientific literature on effective interventions to address emotional affectations in this group, considering the risk factors affecting children and their families. A bibliographic documentary design was used with a systematic review following the PRISMA methodology. The information search was performed in Web of Science, Scopus and SciELO, using Boolean operators and filters, which allowed the selection of 13 documents published between 2020 and 2023. Essays, theses and books were excluded. It is concluded that a timely approach to emotional distress can prevent further complications and provide the emotional support needed to cope with challenges throughout life.
