Collaborative work among elementary school teachers is an educational strategy that has received increasing attention due to its potential to improve both the academic performance of students and the work environment among teachers. This study aims to conduct a systematic review of the existing literature on the impact of collaborative work in this context. A comprehensive search was conducted in academic databases, resulting in a total of 150 relevant articles published between 2013 and 2023. Applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 50 articles were selected that met the requirements established for the analysis. The methodology used included the evaluation of these studies to identify patterns, benefits, and challenges associated with collaborative work in primary education. The results revealed that, although collaborative work contributes positively to students' academic performance and teachers' professional development, it also faces significant challenges, such as resistance to change and time constraints. In conclusion, collaborative work proves to be an effective tool for improving educational quality, but it is essential to address its challenges in order to maximize its benefits in the school environment.
