TEJADA, Laura Diana Holgado; MURILLO, Silvia Mireya Montesinos y CALDERON, Vanessa Rozas. Students' experiences in psychological counseling during COVID-19 in Cusco. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. The COVID-19 pandemic posed significant challenges to education, particularly in the realm of pre-professional practices. This study aimed to analyze the experiences of pre-professional practices in the psychological counseling and guidance course at a private university during the pandemic. A qualitative study was conducted with 12 students from the School of Psychology, aged between 20 and 24 years. The inclusion criteria were being Psychology students, enrolled in the Counseling and Guidance course, and being in the eighth semester. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews, which allowed for exploring the students' experiences through their personal narratives. The findings were classified into three main categories: enriching experiences, learning difficulties, and expected learning outcomes. Enriching experiences were related to the practical application of theory learned in class. Learning difficulties included a lack of social interaction and connectivity issues. The expected learning outcomes reflected the objectives pursued by the instructors in each learning unit. Finally, academic performance was analyzed as the students' response to the learning process.
