TRUJILLO REYNA, Quiterio; TEVES QUISPE, Julia; CORDOVA GARCIA, Ulises  y  NUNEZ VARA, Fernando Esteban. Level of development of motor skills through minor games. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. Minor games are important in pedagogy as an educational strategy that guarantees the development of motor skills. This study aimed to determine the level of development of motor skills through minor games in university students. A quantitative approach study was conducted, with a non-experimental design and descriptive scope, using a sample of 45 students from a public university. In the locomotor skills dimension, it was observed that 11 (24%) students obtained a rating of insufficient, while another 11 (25%) students reached an acceptable level, 10 (23%) demonstrated a performance rated as good, and 12 (27%) stood out with outstanding. In conclusion, it was identified that the level of development of locomotor, non-locomotor and manipulative skills in university students is mostly at the insufficient and acceptable levels. The constant practice of minor games is suggested, since they contribute to the progressive improvement of these skills.
