Digital living to develop research competencies in times of pandemic. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2024, vol.8, n.34, pp.1303-1314. Epub 25-Jul-2024. In the context of the pandemic, face-to-face education was replaced by virtual education through the use of ICT to avoid the loss of the school year, thus promoting digital coexistence. This study aims to determine the influence of digital coexistence on the development of research skills during the pandemic. The paradigm adopted was positivist, basic, non-experimental, causal explanatory, cross-sectional and prospective, with a probabilistic sampling of 182 regular basic education schoolchildren. Two questionnaires were applied: one for the digital coexistence variable, with a reliability of 0.737 in Cronbach's Alpha, and another for research competencies, with a reliability coefficient KR20 of 0.71%. The results in digital coexistence showed that 95.1% of the respondents presented an adequate level, while in research competencies 78.6% of the students reached a satisfactory level. It is concluded that digital coexistence has a moderate influence on the development of research skills.
