In the digital era, videoconferencing platforms have gained significant relevance, especially in the educational context. These tools not only facilitate the continuity of distance learning, but also impact on students' social skills. The objective of this research is to know the perceptions on social skills in the use of videoconferencing platforms in university students during the months of February to June 2021. The methodology used was quantitative, non-experimental, with a comparative descriptive and cross-sectional scope. We worked with a non-probabilistic sample by convenience, surveying 293 students: 133 from state institutions and 160 from private institutions. The survey technique was used for data collection, and the instrument used was the Social Skills Scale of Goldstein et al. (1978), which showed a reliability of 0.966. The platforms used were Meet, Zoom, Collaborate and Teams. In conclusion, a high perception of social skills is perceived in the use of these platforms.
