The curricula must be continuously updated and improved to fulfill the function of training qualified professionals, who contribute to solve the problems of their environment. The objective was to analyze the consistency of the scope of research of the curriculum of the undergraduate degree in Psychology at FES Iztacala, based on the evaluation of the student body. Using a non-experimental design, students of a research practice were invited to answer a questionnaire in order to evaluate the consistency of the curriculum. It was found that students perceive consistency between the subjects of the field and tradition studied, and between the subjects of basic training and professional training. It is concluded that the periodic evaluation of the curriculum by the students is fundamental to update and improve it. The importance of teaching in research for professional training is also emphasized.
