Abstract

FLORES, Rosmery Juliana Justiniano  and  COTRINA, Doris Magdalena Cancino. Motivation in learning during the last decade. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2024, vol.8, n.32, pp.380-392.  Epub Jan 10, 2024. ISSN 2616-7964.  https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v8i32.730.

Motivation, understood as that predisposition, energy or force of an internal and positive nature, is what moves the subject to carry out a learning process by developing his/her competences, capacities and attitudes. The objective of the research was to analyze the importance of motivation in learning based on research carried out in the last decade. The methodology corresponds to a systematic review for which a search chain was followed in three databases, Scopus, EBSCOhost and Scielo, finding a total of 857 studies from which 22 studies were selected. It is concluded that the research carried out in the last decade indicates that motivation determines the degree of interest in learning since it allows the subject to establish short and long term goals, influenced by the role of the educator, autonomy, context, knowledge, previous experiences and learning strategies.
