In response to the increasing deterioration of the environment, risk management and prevention culture become crucial issues, highlighting the need for educational programs to sensitize the population. This study focused on Lima, Peru, where a significant lack of knowledge about these issues was identified in public educational institutions. The objective was to determine the relationship between risk management and disaster prevention culture in these institutions. Using a basic research methodology, surveys were applied to 329 educational institutions. The results revealed a moderate relationship between the variables studied, indicating that both risk management and disaster prevention culture have moderate levels in public educational institutions in Metropolitan Lima in 2022.
