Abstract

Digital competencies are technological skills that have an impact on educational development; therefore, the use of various digital strategies is important for students to show a performance in their academic performance. The objective of the present study was to determine the relationship between digital competencies and the academic performance of university students. The research methodology was quantitative approach, non-experimental design, correlational level. The population was 300 university students; while the sample was 100 students; the sampling was probabilistic by convenience. The technique was the survey; while the instrument was the questionnaire for the variable digital competence and grades for academic performance. As a result, a perfect positive correlation was obtained between the variables studied. From this, it is concluded that when digital competencies are applied efficiently, students show an adequate academic performance.
