In 2020, the World Health Organization declared a health emergency due to COVID-19, which implied a change in the modality of the educational system worldwide, impacting education students in the continuity of their pre-professional practice through virtuality. The objective of the research was to describe the experiences of teachers and students of the Pre-Professional Practice of Initial Education in six Latin American universities during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research had a qualitative approach with a descriptive level, the technique for the collection of information was the interview, semi-structured for the teachers, a focus group for 11 students and the adaptation of the "self-study" technique. The conclusion was that all participants experienced emotions such as uncertainty, fear and frustration, using technology and affective mediation to approach the practice and fulfill the commitment with children, institutions and family members.
