Environmental awareness is the individual's ability to recognize the importance of the essential elements of the world around him/her in order to conserve, care for, and improve the environment with environmental behaviors through activism and education. The objective of the study was to establish the influence of environmental awareness on university social responsibility in university students. The type of research was basic, explanatory level, non-experimental, cross-sectional correlational causal design. The population consisted of 975 students from a public university, the sample consisted of 276 students and the sampling was probabilistic. The reliability of instruments through Cronbach's alpha was .987 for the environmental awareness instrument and 0.896 for social responsibility. The results showed that environmental awareness significantly influences university social responsibility with 99.4%. It is concluded that environmental awareness has an impact on the development of optimal responsible pro-environmental behaviors.
