The formation of environmental attitudes is a topic of interest at all educational levels, one of the effective teaching and learning strategies to achieve it is Problem Based Learning (PBL). The objective was to evaluate the effect on the formation of environmental attitudes in fourth grade students of the educational institution José Olaya Balandra la Perla el Callo - Lima. An experimental study of correlational analysis was carried out, the sample was constituted by 14 students, for data collection the survey technique was used and as an instrument the environmental attitudes scale questionnaire, already validated. As results it was found that the pretest reached 104.07 % compared to the posttest with 135.64 %, where a change is clearly evidenced within the environmental attitudes when using PBA within the cognitive, affective and reactive dimensions. It could be seen that there is a significant positive impact on the formation of environmental attitudes among the fourth year students of the educational institution that participated in the intervention.
