Abstract

The purpose of the study was to demonstrate the efficacy of the "Sophia" educational program in the development of soft skills for employability in young ABE students in the advanced cycle. It is a quasi-experimental research, working with a sample of 40 young people distributed in two groups (experimental and control), an instrument validated by expert judgment was used. The reliability showed good internal consistency (α=.817). It was found that the "Sophia" program has increased the levels of soft skills in students. Also, the development of interpersonal skills, intrapersonal skills and cognitive skills. The results show that soft skills can be learned or strengthened through workshops focused on their development in an attitudinal learning process. These skills improve employability profile, job interview performance, job retention and a more fulfilling life.
