The COVID-19 pandemic, generated that educational institutions had to adapt their traditional teaching methods to online sessions, which represented a challenge to teaching professionals. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze the incidence of the management of virtual educational platforms on the professional performance of regular elementary school teachers. A quantitative approach with a non-experimental design of causal cross-sectional-correlational design was used. Two Likert-type questionnaires were applied to a sample of 50 teachers. The results indicate that the management of virtual educational platforms significantly influences teachers' professional performance, which has important implications for improving student learning. A Wald value of 19.005 was obtained, and p: ,016 < ,050, indicating that the influence of virtual educational platforms is statistically significant. In conclusion, the use of virtual educational platforms is a key factor in the professional performance of teachers in regular basic education.
