Peru faces great challenges in teacher performance evaluation. The lack of clear and fair evaluation systems, as well as the lack of adequate recognition for highly competent teachers. Therefore, the objective of this study is to analyze the role of teacher competence in educational management. The methodological process used was a systematic review design where 7 steps were considered. The search was conducted in EBSCO host, SCOPUS and Microsoft Academic, the descriptors used were; "Teaching competencies" AND "internal communication", OR "communication interne", Comunicação Interna". Considering publications from the last 5 years 2017-2021. The search results generated 62 articles referring to teaching competence, of which 42 articles were selected, representing 67.74% of all articles found. In order to obtain this assessment, the inclusion and exclusion criteria were previously carried out. In conclusion, teachers must possess skills and knowledge that go beyond classroom teaching. This includes the ability to manage the classroom effectively, adapt to the needs of students, collaborate with other education professionals, and understand the administrative and political aspects of education.
