Abstract

HERNANDEZ, Gustavo Alonso Mondragón; LUCERO, Julio Eduardo Moscol  and  BERNAL, Edgar Uriarte. Social skills in the context of basic education in Peru. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2023, vol.7, n.30, pp.1962-1974.  Epub May 25, 2023. ISSN 2616-7964.  https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v7i30.642.

The lack of social skills makes adolescents and young people more prone to failure in their professional life in the future, due to the fact that it begins to develop at school and is consolidated in the university stage. Therefore, the aim of this study is to identify the influence of social skills in students' lives. Through a systematic review, this study was consolidated using PRISMA as a guide for the analysis. The search equation was "social skills", AND "students", "education". An evaluation of eligibility and content of each text was used as criteria; as a result, using Dialnet, Scielo and Scopus, 37 articles were initially pre-selected from a total of 56 research studies, leaving 14 articles that met the inclusion criteria. It was possible to identify that the lack of social skills has an impact on emotional control, self-esteem, assertiveness, learning, autonomy for decision making and the full exercise of their rights.
