Motivation is one of the basic and determining resources to have positive results in all fields of development of human beings, from the affective to the labor aspect. This resource becomes the backbone for the achievement of the objectives established within the educational institutions; therefore, a motivated teacher is synonymous with tranquility and progress; in this sense, the purpose of the research was to determine the relationship between motivation and institutional climate in teachers of the educational institutions American Children High School and I.E.N 6052 America, San Juan de Miraflores. The method used was quantitative, correlational, non-experimental, descriptive transectional design; the population was made up of 81 teachers, the technique used was the survey and the instruments were the questionnaire and the institutional climate scale; for data analysis, the following were used: Measures of central tendency and variability, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test of normal distribution, Student's t-test, Mann-Whitney U test, Pearson correlation test; so it is concluded that motivation is fundamental to optimize good institutional climate.
