Abstract

Burnout syndrome involves emotional and physical exhaustion; it is related to stress in work activities. The objective was to analyze the Burnout syndrome in educational professionals, measuring the prevalence of emotional exhaustion and low personal fulfillment in teachers, identifying the strategies applied to counteract this situation. The methodology applied was the systematic review of literature from sources between 2020 and 2022, focused on educational development. According to the selection, 228 articles were reviewed from the ProQuest and Exlibris databases. For the analysis, the contribution of 13 publications was used, specifying the authors' strategies in relation to the topic. The conclusion is that Burnout syndrome hinders the development of academic activities due to the fact that teachers are not in an adequate emotional state.
