Abstract

Because of COVID-19, universities had to adapt to the new methodology of virtual teaching, implementing ICT, having as general objective the interpretation of how and which are the digital competences in the educational management of university higher education; the research is of interpretative level, of qualitative approach, with hermeneutic design, interviews were carried out to five key informants, obtaining as a result that the strategies predispose the significant learning through the mastery of ICT and the good use of the internet. It was concluded to rethink the pedagogical skills, technological capacity and information skills to adapt them to the mandatory confinement by the presence of COVID-19 globally, likewise the government in response must take immediate action so that the inhabitants have access to technological devices with internet to continue with virtual education.
