In order to manage educational centers in a pertinent manner, teachers who assume managerial positions must be familiar with transformational leadership; this provides tools that allow for the pertinent management of regular basic education schools. The purpose of this research is to determine the impact of transformational leadership on the institutional climate and teacher performance in an educational institution in Lima, Peru. Three questionnaires were applied to 106 secondary school teachers in an educational institution in Huaycán; the instruments were validated by expert judgment, through Aiken validity, exploratory analysis and Cronbach's Alpha reliability analysis, which is greater than coefficient 0.7. It was concluded that transformational leadership has an impact on the institutional climate and teaching performance of an educational institution.
